Sixteen of us cruised up the Seine river from September 16th (when our red eye flight from Toronto arrived at the Charles de Gaul Airport in Paris) to September 24th when we flew home.
We were looked after royally by everyone on the Amadeus Diamond riverboat. A 24 hr general strike in France meant the lock was closed. Our itinerary had to be changed and yet they still arranged for us to see everything that was planned. We saw a palace, cathedrals, the Van Gogh museum, Paris, including the Eiffel Tower and Montmartre, Monet’s house and gardens, the old cities of Honfleur and Rouen with the Joan of Arc modern church where she was burned at the stake, Étretat’s white cliffs by the Atlantic Ocean, and of course, the Normandy beaches.
The food was amazing! Lunch and dinner on the boat was 4 courses and scrumptious.

We had a great presentation and tour with Shab, followed by a question period with meteorologist Dillon. Thanks to all at the Network for making this an entertaining visit.
